In an effort to assist the people of Haiti as they attempt to recover from this week's devastating
earthquake, RES' students/staff will be holding its "Lots-of-Love for Haiti" fundraiser. A donation of
$1 (or more) to RES' "Lots-of-Love for Haiti" fundraiser will entitle students/staff to wear their
pajamas to school on Tuesday, January 19th. If everyone contributes at least $1 to this
very important cause, we should be able to raise $300. Parents/guardians are encouraged to drop by
the school on Tuesday, January 19th and give a donation as well. 100% of the funds raised from
Rexton Elementary's January Parent School Support Committee will congregate at the Bonar Law Memorial School
on Wednesday, January 20th @ 6:30 p.m. for a District 16 video conference regarding PSSC procedures.
Following this video conference, RES' PSSC members will meet to review the details of this year's School
Improvment Plan. As always, all RES parents are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting!
The last day of school before our Christmas Break will be Friday, December 18th.
RES' K-2 students will be dismissed @ 1:50 p.m. and our students in Grades 3-5 will be dismissed @ 2:50.
RES' classes will resume in the New Year on Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at 8:30 a.m.

Our annual Caroling-for-Cans Christmas Concert will be held on Wednesday morning beginning at 9 a.m. in our school cafeteria (doors will be opened at 8:45). Admission to this Christmas presentation is a non-perishable food item for our local Food Bank - Merry Christmas!!
RES will be hosting its December Home & School meeting on Wednesday, December 2nd, beginning at 7 p.m. in our cafeteria.
The class will the greatest turn-out of parents for this meeting will win an ice-cream party! Come one, come all!!

Everyone is invited to attend RES' annual Christmas Tea & Craft Sale on Saturday, November 21st. Our hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
