Dear Parent(s),
Public Health would like to advise you that there has been a case of pertussis (whooping cough) in your child school. For your information, we are enclosing a Fact Sheet on Pertussis.
If your child develops symptoms corresponding to those described in the fact sheet, please consult your family physician.
If your physician suspects that your child has whooping cough, appropriate testing should be done to confirm the diagnosis. A positive result will allow Public Health to recommend preventive measures for vulnerable contacts who have been exposed to your child.
RES has rescheduled its Family Literacy PJ Night. This annual event will now take place on Thursday, February 17th from 6:00-7:00. Everyone is encouraged to attend and to wear their jammies!!

Why? This is a fundraiser to support the I.W.K hospital in Halifax. We ask that all students/staff wear their craziest hair-do on Friday, January 21st and donate at least $1
to this very worthwhile cause.
