Dear Parent(s),   Public Health would like to advise you that there has been a case of  pertussis (whooping cough) in your child school. For your information, we are enclosing a Fact Sheet on Pertussis.   If your child develops symptoms corresponding to those described in the fact sheet, please consult your family physician.    If your physician suspects that your child has whooping cough, appropriate testing should be done to confirm the diagnosis.
