RES' cafeteria will be serving their Christmas dinner, with all the fixings, to students and staff only at noon time on Thursday, December 15th. The cost of this festive feast will be $5.50. The only other food item served in our cafeteria on December 15th will be grilled cheese sandwiches for $2.25.

Please contact your classroom teacher if you have not received an appointment time for your Parent/Teacher meeting; parents are asked to please sign their child's Progress Report envelope and return it to the school as soon as possible (these envelopes will be used for the second and third term Progress Reports). A gentle reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, December 2nd.

  The grand total from RES' 2011 Christmas Tea & Craft Sale is a whopping ... $7128.94!!  Special thanks to all who baked or priced items, donated prizes, decorated, worked at our bake or admission tables, helped to set-up or clean-up, lugged tables and/or watched the young children of our dedicated Home & School Executive during the last couple of days!!   The following people won prizes from our various vendors and asked to contact Rexton Elementary for more details:   1. During the last five (5) school days, Mr. Rioux's grade 5 students have worked diligently together to earn the greatest amount of points for exhibiting appropriate cafeteria behaviors. Every day, each of RES' grade 3-5 classes have an opportunity to earn three (3) points for the demonstrasting the following behaviors:   1. Using 30 cm voices in the cafeteria, 2. Ensuring that they clean-up their tables before lining-up to return to classes, and, 3. Quietly lining up in single file when it is time to return to class after lunch. CONGRATULATIONS 5R - you ROCK!!

Special thanks, once again this year, to Laurie Warman (Emme's mom) for decorating our hallways, bulletin boards and foyer for this weekend's Christmas Tea & Craft Sale. Our doors will open to Christmas shoppers at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 19th. Come one, come all!!
