We want to express our sincere appreciation to RES' families and as well as our Superintendent, Nancy Boucher, for attending Rexton Elementary's 2012 Open House & Ice-Cream Social! Our early numbers indicate that approximately 150 families were represented at this year's meet & greet event! Our students seemed to really enjoy giving their parents/grandparents the grand tour of their classrooms, school, and playground. A sincere thank-you is extended to RES' Home & School Association and Foodland for supplying us with ice-cream and to our ice-cream scoopers, Mrs. Bowes, Mrs.

The first day of school for Rexton Elementary School students in Grades 1-5 is Wednesday, September 5th, 2012. This year, RES' Kindergarten students will either begin on Wednesday, September 5th or Thursday, September 6th (this is known as Staggered Entry). Kindergarten parents/guardians are asked to please refer to the notice that was sent home in June to determine when their Kindergarten child's first day of school is or contact the school on Tuesday, September 4th (523-7152).   Happy Labour Day everyone!!
