A gentle reminder: the Pumpkin Lady Fundraiser for RES' Margaret Martin is this Saturday, October 6th. All proceeds from sales @ the Pumpkin Lady on Saturday will be given to Margaret to help with the costs associated with her medical and travel expenses. We are so very "thankful" for your support of this special community member!!

Friday, September 28th, 2012 was RES' Pink Shirt Anti-Bullying Day. Provincially, September 24th - 28th was deemed to be Anti-Bullying Awareness Week, however, we are proud to say that RES starfish strive to be proactive regarding anti-bullying awareness ALL year long!!
Rexton Elementary's 3rd annual Student Council election was held on Friday, September 28th and the ballots were tallied in the afternoon from 3:00-3:25 p.m.
We intend to meet with our entire Student Council Privy Council in the morning on Monday, October 1st. We will present the election results to our Council members at this meeting and we will make a school-wide and website announcement regarding who is our new 2012-2013 Student Council Secretary, Vice-President and President following this meeting.

Tuesday, September 25th: Students in Grades 1, 2, and 3 will have their school pictures taken.
Wednesday, September 26th: Kindergartners and students in grade 4 & 5 will have their school pictures taken.
