Safety is the number 1 goal in physed class.  This means that students must come prepared with the proper footwear and proper clothes in order to participate safely.  As a teacher, I am always looking for ways to help my students become more independent in their lives.  Here in Physed Ed, that means that students should be able to tye their shoes, and if not, have footwear that does not require tying, or uses curly laces or lock laces. 

If your child has difficulty tying their shoes, try some of these different methods to help them.  This will take practice, but like everything else, the time they spend practicing is well worth it.  Until they get it, you can buy them lock laces or curly laces.
