RES' April 29th Playground B-I-N-G-O was a tremendous success! We are thrilled and eternally grateful to announce that this community-building activity raised $9, 317.00!! These funds will be utilized to pay for the installation of RES' new playground equipment, which is tentatively scheduled to take place just prior to the last week of the 2010-2011 school year.

Rexton Elementary is proud to present our very own fashion icon, Ms. Astena Marsh. Astena is a student in Ms. McLaughliin's grade 4-3 class. This inspirational starfish is a heart transplant patient and she told her story to hundreds of people at Moncton's Heart Truth Fashion Gala on Saturday, April 2nd, at Casino NB. The attached file is Astena's speech from this very prestigious event. This is a snapshot of Astena in front of her display in our school lobby and in this picture Astena proudly shows us the beautiful gown she wore during her fashion debute!
The
Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to accept film
entries for the first annual Kin Film Festival. All School District 16
students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted in one of
two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category. The top 10 films in each
category will be screened on May 7th, 2011 at Miramichi Empire Studio
5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for the winners
in each category.
