RES's 2017 S.T.E.A.M. Fair was held in the morning on Thursday, May 18th. From 9:20-10:20 our K-2 students presented their science, technology, engineering, artist, and mathematics projects to parents and our grades 3-5 students and from 10:50-11:50 our grades 3-5 students presented their S.T.E.A.M. projects to our younger learners and tons of parents and community members.
I regret to inform you that Rexton Elementary School is grieving the loss of one of our Educational Assistants, Ms. Penny Robichaud. Miss Penny passed away on Friday, April 21st. We want you to know that the district will be providing councilors for our children and staff tomorrow, Monday, April 24th (and for the rest of the week if necessary).
Rexton Elementary celebrated Earth Day Eve on Friday, April 21st by having our Student Council President, Ella McDonald, Gracie Ferguson, and Kiera Savory serenda us during our Morning Announcements with their Happy Earth Day song. Then, at morning recess time, hundreds of our students volunteered to pick up the litter on our schoolyard. Happy Earth Day Eve, everyone!!
