We worked on descriptive writing this term.  The students wrote a piece telling as much as they could about their mittens.  Then they drew their mitten as an illustration to go with their writing.  I have their writing displayed proudly on our bulletin board in the K-2 hallway.  It’s a matching game: match the mitten with the writing.  We’ve caught many people stopping and admiring our work.  :)
