5A has decided to make a few changes to our homework routine.

Previously, students  were asked to read each night for 15 minutes, complete a reading log entry and study their math facts for 10 minutes (or, in lieu of studying their math facts, they can log onto reflex and play for 10 minutes). Homework was checked on a daily basis and the expectation was that it was completed each night.

Our new routine is a bit more flexible. Although, it is still recommended that students read and complete their reading log nightly, reading logs will only be collected on Friday mornings.  So, if students are unable to complete their reading logs one evening, they could simply do two the next day. Because the reading logs will be collected on Fridays, students will not need to complete a reading log entry on Friday evening. However, they are still expected to read and study their math facts.
