Dear Parent/Guardians:

Yes, the countdown is on! The first day of school for the 2017-2018 school year will be Tuesday, September 5th. Our school doors open daily at 8:00 a.m. and on the first day of school all grades 1-5 students will enter our school and walk into the cafeteria; once everyone is seated students will be introduced to their new teacher. The only exception is for our new Kindergarten students; these Kindergarten students will be greeted by teachers/administrators as they enter our school building and they will be led to their classrooms immediately (instead of going into the cafeteria).

Parents, we ask that you please send all of your child's school supplies the first day of school. Teachers will be providing time on the first day of school for students to:

- unpack their supplies

- review class and school procedures

- tour the school 

Our Breakfast Program will not begin until the second full week of school; we would love for parents of students in our school to join our team of Breakfast Program volunteers (it's a great way to kick off your child's and you day)!

Cafeteria service will be available on the first day of school.

A gentle reminder to all parents that:

- our school supply lists are located on the home page of this website

- we need you to park your vehicle in RES's parking lot (not in our Bus Loading Zone or Drop-Off Zone in front of our school.

- our school Administrative Assistant, Connie Agnew, will be at her desk beginning on Monday, August 28th - Friday, September 1st (from 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00 p.m.) if you need to enrol your child in our school; our phone number is 506-523-7152.

The staff of RES are eager to begin working/learning with you and your little starfish ~ here's hoping you and your family enjoy the remaining days of the summer of 2017!
