Rexton Elementary took part in the Big Crunch challenge this year. Each and every student was given a locally grown apple and we all took the crunch with our classes. There were two purposes for the Big Crunch. The first was to raise awareness that we can access local food even in the wintertime. The second was because March is nutrition month. What better way to start off nutrition month than to have a healthy snack together? :)
March is nutrition month. 1J will continue to learn about the Canada's Food Guide in the next few weeks.
